As cool as models look on the runway, they look even cooler when they're off duty and are displaying their own personal style on the street. Street style is the concept that was created by the fashion world for the outfits models wear when they aren't posing for Vogue or shooting a magazine spread with Russell James. These looks are usually easier for fashion fanatics to replicate, than the high end looks we see on the runway.
Some of the hottest models of the minute like Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Candice Swanepoel, and Taylor Hill are totally nailing street style as of late.
Although all these beautiful women are dominating in the world of street style, there is one particular model who has clearly owned street style and made it her own and that is none other than Kendall Jenner.
Kendall has always had great taste when it came to what she wore when she wasn't attending dinner with Olivier Rousteing (of Balmain) or owning countless red carpets. But as of the past year, Kendall has definitely stepped up her street style and has got the world noticing it too. Kendall is not only the reigning queen of street style (in my opinion) but is also a source in which I pull inspiration for my day-to-day outfits.
Kendall has been on the ball with her style as you can clearly see in the images above. She sticks with a mostly neutral colour palette consisting of a lot black, white, grey and denim which I can identify with, and she occasionally throws in a pop of colour. Kendall keeps her outfits sleek and chic yet simple and minimal. Often we can see Kendall in black skinny jeans that hug and define her lengthy legs that have strutted major runway shows, and black heeled booties that give her more height (not that she needs it). She likes to change up her choice of tops and can sometimes be seen sporting ab grazing crop tops or torso hugging shirts. Kendall's handbag collection is also really impressive, carrying brands ranging from Celine to Givenchy to no handbag at all! And we can't forget sunglasses! No Kendall Jenner look is complete without a good pair of sunglasses.
Kendall's street style is easy to draw inspiration from and begins from a simple base. Start with a good tight pair of black mid to high waist skinny jeans, and tuck in a neutral form fitting t shirt of your choice. To accessorize, slip on a statement belt with the hardware colour of your choice and some black heeled booties. If your outfit feels incomplete, throw on a leather jacket and a good pair of sunglasses and you're good to go; a full proof KJ look!
